New Beginnings

**********************************************
This is a poem that my mother,
Pricilla Crosthwaite, wrote.

*********************************

Our road has been rough and
sometimes far to long.
To many nights without
the nightengale's song.
We chastice ourselves for all
that we have done.
Forget the past, let those
memories be won.
Children of spirit, we did not
head the ways.
In our minds we have wasted so
many of our days.
Life is a lesson
we all have to learn.
Put away the past, nothing is lost
no need to yearn.
Look ahead now to the life
we have chose.
Sweet peaceful nights,
the scent of the rose.
Time is our champion, to heal
the turmoil of our hearts.
Look ahead to the gift of life
and our brand new start.
*********************************
I LOVE YOU MOM
