Day in SLC

Well Today Jaimee and I went to SLC with Holly n Robbie. Our first stop was Sunflower Market to get my hubby some of his favorite muffins and for Holly and I to pick up a few groceries, then it was off to the biggest library I have ever seen, it is 5 stories tall with glass elevators, and little shops. The children's reading area (where Robbie visits) has these cute little alcoves for the kids to read and play in. After we got our fill of the library and checked out some reading material, it was off to this wonderful pastry shop called "Les Madeleines Cafe" where they make some of the most deliciously sinful pastries that should really be illegal. The prices are a bit high but oh sooo worth it. After we got our pastries we went to a memorial park and got some good ideas for our family photos later on this summer. At noon you can hear the chiming of the bells from the state capitol building. Jaimee n Robbie had fun playing and Robbie decided to put his feet in the water shoes and all, but Holly always brings extra clothes n shoes for this type of fun. Well, it's fun to Robbie! Then it was off to the Gateway Mall. It's an outside mall with a fountain in the middle that shoots water out in different places at different times. The boys really like to play in it. We shopped a bit and went and had lunch and then it was off to another mall to do some more shopping, but I don't remember the name of it. We had a great day! Hanging out with Holly n Robbie is always so much fun.

  1. The second mall we went to was Valley Fair Mall - but we just call it "Gang Central" in our family. Chris Rock would call it "The mall the white people USED to shop at" but it is very convenient to the freeways. I'm glad you had fun!
